Engenda

Engenda Group provides essential value adding engineering services across a range of industry sectors. In the chemical industry it is a maintenance contractor to a number of market leading companies across the UK and into Europe, delivering project and maintenance delivery of ME&I service and infrastructure.

As part of its service delivery for a multinational chemicals company, Engenda Group needs to ensure that the heat exchange equipment that is essential to its processing is operating effectively. When there was a requirement for a new plate heat exchanger Thornhill, which is the only UK provider of the complete cycle of heat exchanger services – design, engineering, installation, repairs and servicing, was the obvious choice.

Engenda Group supplied information about the thermal data requirements and space restrictions to Thornhill and its specialist teams proposed bespoke designs using a range of tools including Aspen EDR, Solid Works and Autocad 3D.  Once approved the equipment was produced in Thornhill’s Yorkshire factory and supplied on time and on budget.

Project manager at Engenda Group Matthew Bailey says: “Because Thornhill has comprehensive design and manufacturing capabilities in-house, they are able to undertake the whole process from specification to delivery which makes it easier for us. While their experience in this specialist area gives us confidence to use them to provide high quality products and services for our customers.”
